ABCyz is a collaboratively curated show of art collectives. It is a group show of group shows, a collective of collectives, a powwow. ABCyz is about DIY, open doors and windows, open source and meeting and greeting.

ABC is shorthand for the participating types of groups:
'A' – artist-run spaces and projects
'B' – new curatorial initiatives and not-for-profit art groups
‘C' – open forum for other collectives to make their projects known
'y' and 'z' represent the generations of young and emerging artists of today and the future.

On October 23, 2009, ABCyz opened an exhibition of NYC-based critical contemporary art collectives, curatorial groups and art publishers formed over the past five years. (www.ABCyz.org)
